Mars Bar and Apple Buttermilk Scones courtesy of Jill Bakes

Serves: 4

Preparation time: 20 mins

Cook time: 18-22 mins

1. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees

2. Rub the spread into the flour until it resembles a breadcrumb texture

3. Add in the sugar, chopped mars bar and apple then combine

4. Add in dale farm buttermilk until it forms a dough – don’t overmix! (Only add enough milk to bind the ingredients, it shouldn’t be too soft or they will spread out too much

5. Put a little flour on your hands and roll each one into a round scone shape or you could roll out on a floured surface and use a cutter (this will make about four scones)

6. Place close together on a tray and bake for 18-22 minutes until just golden

7. Drizzle over some melted chocolate and add a piece of mars bar to each

8. Serve and enjoy!
