Creamy Bacon & Leek Pasta @JillBakes

Serves: 3-4 people

Cook time: 30 minutes

This creamy and comforting quick pasta recipe by Jill is perfect for those cold winter nights. Made with Dromona Butter and our 30% Less Fat Cheddar Cheese, it’s sure to hit the spot!

You will need a large non stick pan.

1. In a large non stick pan, add in your butter. Fry the bacon for 5-7 minutes until brown and crispy set aside

2. Prepare the leeks and mushrooms by washing well and slicing

3. Cook the pasta as per instructions

4. Fry the mushrooms and leeks for 5-7 minutes until softened. Add the bacon back in along with the onion granules

5. Make up the chicken stock and add to the pan along with the double cream and the dried chives

6. Add in the pasta water and grated cheese and stir. season with onion salt and pepper

7. Add the cooked pasta into the sauce and combine. Serve and enjoy!

  • Dromona Butter (to cook with)
  • 1 pack lean diced smoked bacon
  • 2 leeks, washed & sliced
  • 1 punnet of mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 chicken stock cube, dissolved in 150ml pasta water
  • 1 tsp onion granules
  • 2 tsp dried chives
  • 125ml double cream
  • 60g Dromona 30% Less Fat Cheese
  • onion salt & pepper to season
