Pasta chips are the latest TikTok sensation made with cooked pasta, tossed in olive oil, herbs and Dromona cheese. They toast up perfectly in the air fryer and Darragh’s homemade cheesy sauce is ideal with dipping for a fun appetiser!
1) Cooked the pasta just as it says on the packet, drain and leave to cool.
2) In a bowl add the cooked pasta, cheese, mixed herbs, oil, salt & pepper and mix.
3) Place into an air fryer at 200°C for 10 minutes. (If you don’t have an air fryer preheat an oven to 200 degrees for 15 minutes and turn half way)
4) Now onto the cheese dip: melt the butter and add the flour and mix.
5) Gradually add the milk and continue to stir, adding in the paprika and mustard. Add the cheese and stir until you get consistency you want. Season with salt & pepper.
6) Serve up and enjoy!
200g cooked pasta
100g Dromona cheddar
1 tbsp olive oil
1tsp mixed herbs
Salt & pepper to season
For the cheesy dip:
25g Dromona butter
25g flour
50/100ml of milk (depending on what consistency you want)
1tsp English mustard
1tsp smoked paprika
Salt & pepper to season
Top Tip:
Use an air fryer to get the perfect crispiness, but if not, a preheated oven (200°C) will work just as well.
