Rowan Glen Makes New Play For Scottish Yogurt Market With ‘Pots of Goodness’
Scottish dairy brand, Rowan Glen has secured a contract with Asda to supply its new variety of yogurts which are fat free, high in protein and have zero added sugar to over 34 stores in Scotland. The Pots of Goodness range was developed as result of growing consumer demand for products that are naturally low in sugar and calories, with added health benefits in addition to the nutritional value found in dairy.
The new Greek-style yogurt, available as ‘Little Pots of Goodness’ (4x120g) and a ‘Big Pot of Goodness’ (450g), is made with real fruit and enriched with vitamin D. The four flavoured multi-pack yogurts come in Strawberry, Peach & Apricot, Raspberry & Blueberry and Black Cherry. There are three flavours in the large sharing pot including Strawberry, Peach & Apricot and Natural.

Donny Gillies, Commercial Manager at Rowan Glen, said of the exciting new yogurt offering:
“At Rowan Glen, we pride ourselves on producing delicious dairy products which celebrate Scotland’s natural larder, as highlighted in our recent TV advertisement filmed on location at the site in Dumfries and Galloway. Part of a heavyweight campaign to illustrate that Rowan Glen is ‘Scottish for great taste’, advertising activity is paired with the company’s objective to grow through product innovation - as exemplified in our new yogurt range which offers 0% fat, 0% added sugar and a great way to get a protein fix into the diet.
“The announcement that Rowan Glen now ranks 13 in the top 50 Scottish brands is also further evidence of how our products meet with consumer needs and allow them to enjoy our local dairy again and again.”
Asda Buying Manager for Scotland, Heather Turnbull, added:
“The new range will be joining a wide variety of Rowan Glen products already on offer in our stores across Scotland. We know our customers value dairy produce which is locally-sourced – and with this latest addition to our yogurt range, Pots of Goodness has the added benefit of supporting a healthy lifestyle.”
