Dale Farm’s Charity Drive Raises further £65,000 for Cancer Focus NI
Dale Farm has raised £65,000 for Cancer Focus NI, matching last year's impressive achievement and reinforcing its commitment to the work of the charity across Northern Ireland.
The impressive fundraising total was achieved thanks to a vibrant calendar of events organised by the dairy company’s dedicated charity committee. Among the highlights were the ever-popular, annual Golf Day and Tractor & Truck Run, bringing together employees and the wider community in spirited support of Cancer Focus NI.
The impact of these collective efforts was further amplified by individual contributions, such as that of Carol Brownlee from the Dunmanbridge site. Carol not only undertook the gruelling challenge of the London Marathon, but she also devoted every mile to raising funds for Cancer Focus NI. Her unwavering determination and generosity served as inspiration, motivating colleagues and the community to rally behind the cause and contribute to its success.
The charity committee, comprising employees from all corners of Dale Farm’s NI operations, worked tirelessly to bring these events to life. Their efforts not only rallied Dale Farm employees but also engaged farmers, suppliers and the wider community, creating a ripple effect of goodwill and support.
Caroline Martin, Head of Corporate Marketing & Communications at Dale Farm, shared:
“Every year our committee comes together with new energy and ideas to support Cancer Focus Northern Ireland, a charity close to our hearts. The enthusiasm and generosity shown by everyone involved is simply outstanding, from the event organisers to those who took part and donated. Achieving another £65,000 is a testament to our shared values, unity and commitment to making a meaningful difference in our community.”
Rosie Forsythe, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Cancer Focus NI, commented:
“We are absolutely thrilled and grateful for Dale Farm’s continued support. Their fundraising continues to make a real impact in the work we deliver across Northern Ireland, ensuring no one has to face cancer alone. As we continue our strategic plans of opening five Therapeutic Cancer Support Centres across Northern Ireland, their support will make a lasting impact as we create sanctuaries providing advice, support and community for those on their cancer journey.”
